Meet: @phitnessprincess After many years of being the Overweight kid, teen, and adult, I hit my highest (unofficial per the docs) weight of 403 pounds at 30. Not able to have a baby(PCOS), High blood pressure & pre-diabetic, I opted to have gastric bypass (day of surgery 343 pounds). My outlook to see 35 years old was bleak, but I wanted to be a mom more than anything in the world. I knew I needed to do something. I had tried losing with out assistance before, to no avail. That is why I chose to have RNY. I lost 125/130 pounds In 2 years… Then got pregnant.. I gained 85/90 pounds back.. After I had my son life settled back to undesirable habits and not worrying about me but focusing on everything else and I was miserable. When my son was 3/4 year old I finally decided to fix it… about 4.5 years ago I joined a gym again started losing, then met my trainer (4years ago) The difference eating right and training have made are amazing!!! Surgery didn’t fix me it’s only my tool. I worked hard to lose it again. I am 11 years post gastric bypass and I want others to know that even if you have yo-yo’d with weight, it’s not over. Even if you have a regain hope is not lost!! I hope someone will see my story and know it’s ok to fail, it’s getting back up that counts! And they are not alone in the fight for Heath! Starting tip: write out a plan. Start with something small, something you are not already doing like add walking a day or two a week. Drop or change something in your diet like drinking juice or pop/soda. Each week add to the plan make make new exercise & Food Goals. Little changes make for big results! #wlstories . . .
